PDC Europe Searches for Historic First Female Caller

In a pioneering move, PDC Europe, in collaboration with Sport1, has launched a search for the first female caller in the PDC circuit. This exciting initiative invites interested individuals to apply immediately.

Applicants are required to submit a video to Moltke Sports. This video should include a brief self-introduction, demonstrate calling out scores of 180, 100, and 26, and feature the “Game On” announcement at the start of a leg. The selection process will culminate in a live audition on August 15th and 16th in Sindelfingen, held during the Next Gen event.

A distinguished panel of judges, including darts legend Russ Bray, Katharina Kleinfeldt, Philip Brzezinski, Daniela Bata, and Franz Engerer, will evaluate the candidates. The chosen winner will have the incredible opportunity to call at a prestigious Darts Gala and is envisioned to become a long-term voice for PDC Europe.

WDF Action: New Zealand and Romania Crown Champions

The World Darts Federation (WDF) circuit was active across two continents, offering crucial ranking points and World Championship qualification spots.

New Zealand Open 2026: World Championship Spots Secured

Hamilton, New Zealand, hosted the prestigious New Zealand Open 2026, a WDF Gold-ranked tournament. A coveted place at the WDF World Championship was up for grabs for both the men’s and women’s champions.

  • In the Men’s Open, Mark Cleaver emerged victorious, navigating a tough field to defeat Brian Bullen (4-2), Sam Brown (5-1), and Jonny Tata (6-1) en route to the final. He then secured his World Championship spot with a dominant 7-2 win over Josh Roberts.
  • For the Women’s event, Nicole Regnaud once again proved her class, triumphing 6-4 against Desi Mercer in the final. Tracy MacDonald and Amanda Zhu were defeated in the semi-finals.
