April 2026 at the Modus Super Series brought a whirlwind of darts action, crowning new champions and showcasing incredible talent. Simon Stevenson kicked off the month by claiming the Week 11 title, followed by Jamai van den Herik’s dominant performance in Week 12. The highlight was undoubtedly Series 13, where 19-year-old sensation Jack Drayton made history, stunning the field to win the £25,000 grand prize. The month concluded with Team Belgium triumphing in a fiercely contested International Pairs Week 3.

April Darts Thrills: A Month of Modus Super Series Action

Week 11: Stevenson Steps Up

The eleventh week of the Modus Super Series saw familiar faces from the PDC stage battling it out. Group A was a tight race, with Willie Borland and New Zealand’s Ben Robb tying at the top. Robb advanced to Finals Night thanks to a superior leg difference. Borland faced similar heartbreak in Group B, again missing out on leg difference to Steve West, even as Keegan Bradley also secured five wins.

Simon Stevenson was the undisputed winner of Group C, outpacing Modus regular Jarred Cole by a single victory.

On Finals Night, Ben Robb was the only player to navigate the group stages unbeaten. However, the semi-finals set the stage for two decisive 4-1 victories, with Robb and Stevenson both advancing. In a captivating final, Simon Stevenson delivered a convincing 4-1 performance to claim the Week 11 title, earning his spot in Champions Week for the first time.

Week 12: Van den Herik’s Dominance

Week 12 introduced another trio of Ally Pally stars. Alex Spellman dominated Group A with 11 wins from 15 matches. Jamai van den Herik then took center stage, topping Group B with an impressive 6 wins from 8. Group C concluded with a tie between Adrian Gray and Jamie Kelling.

Finals Night saw Dean Finn and Adrian Gray both starting strong, but Finn’s impressive run was cut short by a 4-0 whitewash defeat to van den Herik in the first semi-final. Gray defeated Spellman 4-1 in the other semi-final. However, Gray’s struggles on the doubles (a mere 9% success rate) in the final left the door wide open for Jamai van den Herik, who seized the opportunity to triumph 4-1, securing his first Modus Super Series title and a direct path to Champions Week.

Series 13 Champions Week: The Rise of Jack Drayton

Champions Week brought together the best performers from the preceding weeks, promising an elite showdown. Derek Coulson led the charge in Group A with 11 wins from 15, closely followed by Simon Stevenson. Stevenson then went on to top Group B with 7 wins from 8, joining Coulson, Neil Duff, and Jack Drayton in Champions Night.

Group C was a masterclass from Steve Green, who comfortably secured his spot with 8 wins from 10 matches, with Radek Szaganski taking a distant second.

Champions Night lived up to its reputation for high tension. The group stages were fiercely contested, with no player going undefeated. Coulson and Stevenson, despite strong earlier performances, were the unfortunate first to exit on leg difference. The semi-finals delivered high drama:

  • Steve Green defeated veteran Neil Duff 4-2 in a hard-fought battle.
  • Newcomer Jack Drayton delivered an astonishing performance, mirroring his Week 9 qualifying form with a 102+ average in a 4-1 demolition of Radek Szaganski. This win showcased the young talent’s immense potential.

The Grand Finale was a thrilling decider between 19-year-old Jack Drayton and the experienced Steve Green. In a nail-biting encounter, Drayton continued his miraculous ascent through the darts ranks. He clinched a 4-3 victory in the deciding leg, securing the Series 13 title and a massive £25,000 prize money. This incredible achievement comes less than three years after he first picked up a set of darts, marking him as a true prodigy in the sport, following in the footsteps of other teenage champions like Luke Littler.

International Pairs Week 3: Belgium Takes the Crown

April concluded with a break from regular Super Series action for International Pairs Week 3, showcasing national pride and teamwork.

  • Group A: Team Wales (Richie Burnett and Kurt Parry) narrowly triumphed on leg difference over Team Scotland (Scott Campbell and Jim McEwan).
  • Group B: Team Belgium (Andy Baetens and Brian Raman) dominated with a perfect 100% record, while a surprising turn saw Team England (Steve Beaton and Fallon Sherrock) finish at the bottom.
  • Group C: Team Germany (PDC European Tour regulars Daniel Klose and Paul Krohne) formed a formidable partnership, winning 9 of 10 matches.

Reigning champions Team Ireland (Conor Heneghan and John O’Shea) barely qualified for Finals Night but then found their rhythm, starting unbeaten and eliminating Team USA. However, Team Germany suffered a surprise exit in the other group, making way for Team Belgium and Team Scotland.

In the semi-finals, Scotland edged out Ireland 4-3. The grand finale pitted Team Belgium against Team Scotland. In a tense deciding leg, Team Belgium prevailed, claiming the International Pairs title for the first time.

Looking Ahead: Modus Super Series 14

The excitement continues in May with Series 14 of the Modus Super Series. Expect to see many stars from International Pairs Week, alongside the return of original Series 1 champion Conan Whitehead and Aussie icon Simon Whitlock, promising more top-tier darts action.
