Modus Darts Super Series: Potter Triumphs, Evans Hits Perfection

The 13th season of the Modus Darts Super Series saw its 8th week conclude with a new champion: Nathan Potter. The 22-year-old secured the title by defeating Terry Nash 4-2 in a thrilling final. Potter had also bested Jack Tweddell with the same scoreline in the semi-finals.

Potter nearly achieved a perfect group stage, winning 14 out of 15 games in Group A. However, the true perfection of the week came from Lee Evans, who hit a sensational 9-darter during his group match against Jack Aldridge on Finals Night!

ADA Tour: Klinge and Smith Maintain Dominance

The second weekend of the ADA Tour in Belconnen, Australia, reinforced the strong performances seen in the first block of tournaments. Brody Klinge clinched two more titles (Events 5 & 8), while Raymond Smith secured one victory (Event 6) and reached two other finals. Former Tour Card holder Darren Penhall also made his mark, winning Event 7.

In the overall rankings, Brody Klinge leads narrowly with $7,500, just ahead of Raymond Smith ($7,400). Darren Penhall sits in third with $4,000. The ultimate prize for the winner after 24 events is a coveted spot at the PDC World Championship in 2027.

WDF World Masters Makes Shock Move to Las Vegas!

In a surprising announcement last Friday, the World Darts Federation (WDF) revealed that its prestigious WDF World Masters tournament will move from Budapest to Las Vegas, effective this year! The event will take place from July 14th to 19th at the Rio Hotel & Casino. Alongside the World Masters, the WDF World Open and qualifiers for the WDF World Championship will also be held. It’s worth noting that the CDC Tour will have an event in Brownsburg concurrently.

Winamax Extends Partnership with PDC Europe

Sports betting provider Winamax remains a Premium Partner for the PDC European Tour, specifically for tournaments held in Germany. In an expanded commitment, Winamax will also serve as a Naming Sponsor for nine Darts Galas and partner with the PDC Europe Super League.

Vienna hosted the Platinum-ranked International WDF Youth Challenge, a key event for young darting talent. German player Béla Janas claimed the boys’ title, defeating Zsolt Csajbok 5-3 in the final. Adrian Eckert and Ben Ebersbach reached the semi-finals. In the girls’ competition, Zehra Gemi emerged victorious with a 5-2 win over Merve Hummel.

Ben Robb secured his 15th WDF title in the Men’s Open, triumphing 6-2 over Haupai Puha in the final. For the women, Nicole Regnaud claimed her 27th WDF title, beating Desi Mercer 5-2 in the final. Youth titles went to Johnny Parker and Sophie Beaumont.

West City Open – Finals:

German Regional Darts Championships
