Darts Drama Amidst Winter Chill: Bundesliga Leaders Extend Grip!
Winter weather wreaked havoc on the DDV Bundesliga North, forcing postponements, but the South surged ahead! DC Dartmoor Darmstadt 1 solidified their top spot with two commanding victories, while DC Torpedo’s made a significant leap away from the relegation zone thanks to a strong performance and a new Austrian talent. In the 2. Bundesliga, Olympia Koblenz 1 soared to the top, Clochard Darter Augsburg climbed to third, and DC Wolfsölden secured second place in their respective divisions, setting the stage for an exciting season despite the wintry disruptions.
DDV Bundesliga: Southern Powerhouse Dominates
The fourth matchday of the DDV Bundesliga 2025/26 brought a mix of weather-induced delays and intense darting action. While the northern divisions faced significant disruption, the South pressed on, delivering thrilling matches and notable shifts in the standings.
Bundesliga North: Winter Halts Play
Due to severe winter weather conditions, the entire Bundesliga North division saw its matches postponed for safety reasons. All games are now rescheduled for February 21, 2026, promising a packed future matchday.
Bundesliga South: Darmstadt Leads, Torpedo’s Rises
Despite the “snow roller” affecting other parts of Germany, the Bundesliga South was in full swing. Leading the charge was DC Dartmoor Darmstadt 1, who secured two crucial victories to extend their lead at the top of the table with a formidable 14 points.
- Their first win was a nail-biting 7:5 triumph over DC Hawks Vilsbiburg, sealed in the final team game by Richard Buskohl & Alexander Schulze-Kottwitz.
- Darmstadt then followed up with a convincing 8:4 win against the hosts, DSV Finnigan’s Harp.
The Bavarian derby saw Vilsbiburg emerge victorious, keeping them firmly in contention for the playoff spots.
DC Torpedo’s enjoyed a particularly strong matchday, largely thanks to their recent addition, Austrian talent Christian Gödl. Their two wins propelled them out of immediate relegation danger, creating a four-point cushion from the drop zone.
- They started with a dominant 9:3 home victory against DC Urbach.
- This was followed by a hard-fought 7:5 success against Dart-Fabrik Leipzig, with Christian Gödl & Johannes Rath securing the decisive point with a whitewash in the doubles match against Robert Rolle & Niklas Nebel.
Meanwhile, DC Urbach earned their first point of the season with a 6:6 draw against Dart-Fabrik Leipzig, who now sit in fourth place.
The Karlsruher SC also had a mixed but productive day. The team, featuring Patrick Klingelhöfer and Thomas Köhnlein, secured a dominant 11:1 win against Darts Pub Walldorf. They then faced DC LaBamba, who were missing key players Marvin Kraft and Daniel Klose due to Q-School commitments. This encounter ended in a 6:6 draw. Interestingly, second-placed DC LaBamba also drew 6:6 against Darts Pub Walldorf.

2. Bundesliga: Leaders Emerge, Teams Battle On
The second tier of German darts also experienced the impact of winter, but several teams managed to make significant strides.
2. Bundesliga North: Salzgitter’s Sole Action
Similar to the top flight, most 2. Bundesliga North matches were postponed to February 21, 2026. The only action took place in Salzgitter, where the Lumberjacks, featuring long-time national player Nico Schunke, had a mixed day.
- They first suffered a 5:7 defeat against TSG Jerstedter Falken.
- However, they bounced back with a 7:5 victory against DC Hallendorf A.
Despite a 6:6 draw between Falken and Hallendorf earlier, neither team could escape the relegation zone, leaving the table in a somewhat unclear state due to the many postponed games.
2. Bundesliga South: Koblenz Takes Command, Augsburg Climbs
The Southern divisions of the 2. Bundesliga saw more comprehensive action across multiple venues.
At their home matchday, Clochard Darter Augsburg secured four valuable points, propelling them to third place in the standings. With Franz Rötzsch in action, their results included:

- A dominant 9:3 win over Bären Flörsheim.
Elsewhere, Kaiserslautern defeated Flörsheim, placing both teams in the mid-table.
Olympia Koblenz 1 had an exceptional day, positioning themselves firmly at the top of the table with two commanding 9:3 victories. Players like Leon Weber and Laurin Welk had every reason to celebrate as they overcame both Dart Force One and Dart Team Essenbach with identical scores. Dart Team Essenbach later salvaged a point with a draw against relegation-threatened Dart Force One.
The third venue for the 2. Bundesliga South saw close contests, with DC Wolfsölden being the only team to secure three points. The Baden-Württemberg side, led by Erik Tautfest and Mike Poge, achieved:
- A win against Nostradartmus.
- A draw against DC Wetterau, who had also previously drawn against Nostradartmus.
This strong showing places Wolfsölden in second place, while Wetterau, despite earning two points, currently sits in last place due to overall standings and point difference.
