Highcroft Hotdogs are just two games away from clinching the Division One title in the Sutton and District League after a dominant 9-0 victory. Rise Club maintains its lead in Division Two, while Northfield Darts Club secured the Bob Price Cup. Elsewhere, leaders are emerging in the Sheldon and District Summer League, and fierce competition keeps Matthew and Steve Cain tied at the top in the Heartlands Sugardarts league. Old Liberal Club remains undefeated in Stourbridge, and Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘A’ boasts a perfect record in Netherton. Jacqueline Maiden has taken the lead in the West Midlands Ladies Super League, with Staffordshire Knot dominating the Men’s league, and Jason Lowe pushing for a second consecutive title in Amblecote. Finally, Junction ‘B’ celebrates a remarkable double triumph in the Wolverhampton Tuesday Night Darts League, winning both singles and doubles titles.

Sutton and District League: Hotdogs Taste Victory, Rise Club Leads Second Division

In Division One, the pressure is mounting as Highcroft Hotdogs are on the verge of claiming the title. Their recent 9-0 whitewash against St Thomas Lions propelled them to thirty-six points, establishing a crucial four-point lead over second-placed Bishop Vesey. Bishop Vesey also had a strong week, securing an 8-1 home win against Old Horns Lions.

  • Key Players: This week saw two perfect 180s (a maximum score in three darts) hit by C. Sammons (Bishop Vesey) and D.G. Bond (Charley’s Flights), showcasing top-tier precision.

Meanwhile, Division Two sees Rise Club holding firmly onto the top spot. A 6-3 victory at Deer’s Leap ensures they maintain a six-point advantage over both Pint Pot Flights and Great Barr Social. • Individual Brilliance: D. Hughes (Plough and Arrows) hit the division’s only 180. His teammate N. Robbins, along with M. Bagnall (Pint Pot Flights), both achieved impressive 160 breaks (scoring 160 points in a turn, often with two treble 20s and a double-bullseye or another high combination).
